How we handle your data

Privacy

Rogue River Tech keeps this short, because there is not much to tell. The only personal information we collect is the email address you give us when you subscribe to the CUAS Brief, and we use it for one thing, sending you the Brief.

What we collect

Your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe. We do not ask for your name, your organization, or anything else, and there is no account to create. If you never subscribe, we do not collect anything about you.

How we use it

We use your email to send the monthly CUAS Brief and the occasional note about the Brief itself. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone for marketing, and we do not use it for any purpose other than the newsletter.

Who helps deliver it

Two services make the Brief possible, and your information passes through them.

  • Beehiiv delivers the newsletter and stores the subscriber list. When you subscribe, your email is held by Beehiiv so it can send you each issue. How Beehiiv handles that data, including the way it measures opens and clicks on the emails it sends, is covered by Beehiiv's privacy policy.
  • Vercel hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes basic technical request data, such as IP address and timestamps, to serve pages and keep the site secure. See Vercel's privacy policy.

Tracking, or the lack of it

This website runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party tracking scripts. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or following you around the web.

The site keeps two small things in your own browser, only so it works the way you would expect: your light or dark theme choice, and your high scores in the Off-Frequency arcade. That information stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Leaving

You can unsubscribe at any time. Every issue of the Brief carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and you can also reply to any issue and ask to be removed. Once you unsubscribe, you are off the list.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date below.
